CHANGE DRIVES HOPE
Meet Mike Johnston.
Since becoming Denver’s 46th mayor in 2023, Mike has taken on Denver’s toughest challenges — and delivered. Under his leadership, Denver has achieved the nation’s largest reductions in street homelessness, driven violent crime to its lowest levels in decades, accelerated affordable housing, launched the largest downtown revitalization effort in a generation, and stood up to Donald Trump’s attacks on Denver. Mike is tackling Denver's biggest problems and proving that change can drive hope for a better tomorrow. There is much more work ahead, and Mike will keep fighting alongside all Denver residents to make our city more affordable, vibrant, and full of opportunity for everyone who calls it home.
Accomplishments
We're Delivering for Denver.
Together we're proving hard problems are solvable and we are the ones to solve them. We didn’t listen to the skeptics. We got to work, and we hope you’re as proud as we are of what we've accomplished in our first term together
Historic Reductions in Homelessness and Crime
We moved thousands of neighbors off our streets and into stable housing, while delivering historic drops in homicides and auto thefts.
A Vibrant, Reopened Downtown
We brought back small businesses, art displays, concerts, and festivals, breathing new life back into the heart of our city.
